Some items have different spellings for the same product. This is so that these alternate spellings will remain unchecked when you add a recipe to a grocery list.
If you’d prefer not to see these alternate spellings, you can hide them.
Note: We recommend that you hide duplicates rather than delete them. If you delete the alternate spellings from the Staples list, ChefTap will automatically check those spellings when you add a recipe to a grocery list.
To hide alternate spellings:
- On the Staples list, select the items you’d like to hide.
- Tap the Menu icon in the upper right corner.
- Tap Hide selected
To show hidden items:
- Important: Make sure there are no items checked
- Tap the Menu icon in the upper right corner.
When shown, the names of hidden items are displayed in gray text.
